Andrew’s Beaver Travel story goes back to 1986, when he was, in his own words, “headhunted from the green grocers”, having spent his school holidays selling luxury fruit and veg to local customers! Having always loved holidays growing up, he knew he wanted to be part of the travel and tourism industry, and nearly 40 years on, he’s still here.

He’s proud of a great deal from his time at Beaver Travel: the money raised for so many charities over the years, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the luxury travel sector at the Luxury Travel Awards in London, and, most of all, changing people’s lives with truly inspirational holidays.

Andrew’s years of experience arranging bespoke holidays in the luxury travel sector, and his vast list of contacts, ensure clients enjoy amazing holidays full of memories that last a lifetime.

• Favourite destination to recommend to clients? Volcanoes National Park, so I can relive my incredible gorilla experience

• Beach or city? Beach – I love to swim in the sea
• Luxury resort or boutique hotel? Boutique hotel – my favourite is Ellerman House in Cape Town
• Cruise or all-inclusive? Cruise, because you get an all-inclusive experience and a new destination every day
• Summer sun or winter escape? Sun all day, every day, apart from Antarctica!

• Three words your colleagues would use to describe you? Friendly, conscientious and adventurous
• One fun fact people don’t know about you? I LOVE red wine!
• If you weren’t a travel agent, what would you be? A zookeeper
• Favourite way to spend a weekend? Spending time with family, playing golf, watching Watford FC and walking in the countryside with my dog Jess, drinking quality red wine
