Grenada & Grenadines
‘The Spice Island’ as Grenada is known is one of the less developed islands of the Caribbean and has a very low key, laid back atmosphere, which is very much part of the charm.
Breathtaking beaches are wonderfully unspoiled and there are spice plantations growing Cinnamon and Nutmeg as well as street markets where other destinations might have casinos, shopping malls and championship golf courses. The interior of the island is mountainous and volcanic, with dramatic crater lakes, waterfalls, gorges and lush tropical rainforests.
Founded in the 18th century, St George’s harbour has a distinct European feel and is one of the most picturesque harbour towns in the Caribbean. The best beach is two mile long Grand Anse beach.
